Mobile Computing Workshop

The Workshop on Mobile Computing will be held in conjunction with the International Conference on Performance Engineering in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Mobile computing is continually expanding with higher expectations from mobile users for functionalities. Balancing energy consumption, code size, latency and bandwidth to communicate with remote servers leads to very interesting optimization problems that are either unique to mobile devices or more constrained in a mobile platform.

The format of this workshop consists on presentations. To make a presentation, contributors need to submit a title, abstract, and list of authors. The workshop will not publish manuscripts. The work presented in this workshop may have been presented elsewhere and may be submitted to conferences that publish proceedings.

The goal of this workshop is to gather researchers and practicioners to share problem formulations and to describe solutions for mobile platforms. The topics that can be covered include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Computing on mobile device.
  • Graphics on mobile.
  • Performance, Power, and Bandwidth Management
  • Resource allocation in Mobile Platforms
  • Learning Systems on Mobile Devices
  • Training and Inference on Hybrid Mobile/Cloud Systems
  • Hardware Accelerators for Mobile Computing
  • Programming Languages, Compilers, and Runtime Systems for Mobile Computing
  • Location-aware mobile services
  • Databases for mobile computing
  • Memory management for mobile devices
  • Security and Privacy on Mobile Platforms
  • Software Systems for Mobile Computing

Important Dates:

  • Title/Abstract Submission:March 18, 2020
  • Notification of Acceptance: March 25, 2020
  • Workshop Date: April 21, 2020
